The Leads feature helps you manage potential clients from initial enquiry until they are converted into actual clients. Track lead details, status, value, and assignment in one place.

What is the Lead Feature?

A lead is a potential client who has shown interest in your legal services but hasn't yet become an official client. The Leads module helps you:

  • Track all incoming enquiries
  • Manage lead status (New, Contacted, Qualified, Converted)
  • Assign leads to specific lawyers
  • Monitor lead value and priority
  • Convert qualified leads into clients

Respond to new leads within 24 hours to maximize conversion rates. Use the status feature to track your follow-ups.

Log in to the OctoGenie Portal

Access the portal at partner.octogenie.com using your credentials.

Navigate to Leads Section

From the left-side menu, click on Leads. The Leads Dashboard will open showing All Leads.

+ New Lead

Click New Lead Button

On the top-right corner of the Leads page, locate and click the + New Lead button.

Lead form

Enter Lead Details

Fill in the required information in the form:

Pro Tip

  • Lead Name
  • Contact Details (phone/email)
  • Practice Area (type of service required)
  • Source (how the lead found you)
  • Status (New, Contacted, Qualified, etc.)

Save the Lead

After entering all details, click 'Create Lead' to save the new lead to your system.

Expected Outcome

The new lead is successfully added and ready for status tracking, follow-ups, and conversion to client.

The Search and Filter options help you quickly find specific leads based on name, status, or source, making lead management easier and faster.

Access Search & Filter

On the All Leads page, locate the Search bar and Filter dropdowns at the top of the leads list.

Using Search

Type the Lead Name or Contact details (phone/email) in the search bar. The system will display matching leads instantly.

Using Status Filter

Click the 'All Status' dropdown and select a specific status (New, Contacted, Qualified, Converted) to filter leads.

Using Source Filter

Click the 'All Sources' dropdown and select a source (Website, Referral, Advertisement, etc.) to filter leads by origin.

  • Combine search with filters for more precise results.
  • For example, search for a name and filter by 'Qualified' status to find hot leads.

Once a lead confirms they want to proceed with your services, you can convert them to a client with just a few clicks.

Open Lead Details

Click on the lead you want to convert to view their complete details.

Review Information

Verify all lead information is accurate and complete before conversion.

Action buttons

Review the available actions for this lead.

Click Convert to Client

Click the 'Convert to Client' action button to begin the conversion process.

Confirm Conversion

Click 'Confirm' to complete the conversion. The lead will now appear in your Clients section.
