How to Add a New Client

Adding a New Client

Follow these steps to create a new client profile

Clients section navigation

Go to Clients Section

Log in to your OctoGenie account. From the left-hand menu, click on Clients. The Clients page will open.

Add New Client button

Click on Add New Client

Click the + Add New Client button at the top right corner. The Client Creation Form will open under the Personal Details tab.

Select Client Type

Choose the Client Type: Individual or Corporate.

Enter Personal Details

Fill in all mandatory fields marked with (*):

Pro Tip

  • Salutation – Select from the dropdown (Mr, Ms, etc.)
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email ID
  • Phone Number
  • Alternate Phone Number (if available)
  • Domicile & Nationality
  • Occupation
  • Gender

Click on Next Button

Click the Next button at the bottom right. The system will move to the next section (Addresses / KYC / Documents, etc.).

Complete Additional Tabs

You may continue filling: Address, KYC Validation, Documents, Client Onboarding, Internal Notes, Financial Records.

Create Client button

Client Record Created

Once the required details are updated, click on the 'Create Client' button at the bottom right. The client will be successfully created and will appear in the Clients List.

Expected Outcome

The client can now be linked to matters, assigned to cases, and used for billing and tracking.

Clients section

Go to Clients Section

Go to the Clients section from the main menu.

Select Client

Go to the specific client you want to edit.

View Client Details

Click on View details to open the client details.

Edit button

Click Edit Button

Click the Edit button to enable editing mode.

Update Details

Update the required details and save the changes.

Expected Outcome

Client details are successfully updated and saved.

Clients navigation

Navigate to Clients Section

Navigate to the Clients section from the left-side menu.

Select Client

Select the client for whom documents need to be uploaded.

Click on Documents Tab

Click on the Documents tab to access the document upload section.

Upload Document

Under Document Upload, click Upload a file or drag and drop the document into the upload area.

Choose Document

Choose the required document from your system.

Verify Upload

Verify that the file is successfully uploaded.

Complete Process

Click Next to proceed to the next step or Save to complete.

Pro Tip

  • Uploading documents is optional.
  • Multiple documents can be uploaded one by one.
  • Uploaded documents will be available under the client's Documents tab for future reference.

Expected Outcome

Documents are successfully uploaded and linked to the client profile.
